As church schools we have close links with our 3 parish churches. Each of our schools attend and take part in a service at their local church at least once a term.  Members of the clergy also come in to our schools to take Collective Worship on a regular basis.

In our local churches, we enjoy displaying some of our learning and taking part in services about important festivals.

Open the book is an interactive Bible storytelling project conducted by The Bible Society.   Members of the local clergy carry out 10-15 minute presentations once a month during collective worship at Catfield and Hickling.  Each presentation is an interactive major story from the Bible, therefore giving the children an opportunity to hear and be immersed in Christian stories.  The children thoroughly enjoy these presentations and look forward to these special times where the Bible is brought to life.  Please click here to find out more about Open the Book.

Here is why Open the Book is having such an influence in Primary schools and is growing rapidly.
